1.17 HARDWARE RESET
1.17.1 RESTORE SYSTEM DEFAULTS
I n addition to using the “ Rest ore Syst em Default s” barcode, the following procedure
using key com binat ions, can be used to rest ore the system default s during operat ion.
1) Hold down the [ Power/ Delete] key.
2) When the scanner responds with two short beeps ( high tone) , press the [ Trigger] key
for 5 seconds. The scanner LED indicator becom es solid red and then goes off.
3) When the scanner responds with a long beep (high t one) , release t he keys. I t s LED
indicat or becom es solid red and goes off.
Not e: The scanner will rest art it self autom atically.
1.17.2 RESET CONNECTION

SPP Master, t he scanner will
at t em pt to m aintain an est ablished connect ion. To st op such re-connection, read the
“ Reset Connect ion” or “Rest ore System Default s” barcode to clear the current connection
record. Alternat ively, use t he key com bination as described below to reset connect ion
during operat ion.
1) Hold down t he [ Trigger] key, and then press the [ Power/ Delete] key for at least 5
seconds.
2) The scanner will respond wit h two short beeps (high tone). Wait unt il the scanner
responds with a long beep (high tone) , release the keys.
Not e: After reset t ing connect ion by hardware, the scanner will not rest art it self
aut om at ically. I t will r esum e to its previous operat ion except no connect ion.
