1.1.3 AUTO POWER OFF & POWER-SAVING
The scanner will stay active at power-on, which m ay be followed by a transit ion from full
CPU speed to low CPU speed ( Power- Saving) t o auto shutdown (Auto Power Off).
Power- Saving (1~ 254 m in.; 0= Disable) : By default, it is set t o stand by at full-speed
for 2 minut es before it enters low- speed m ode. I f this feat ure is not desired, set it t o
0.
Auto Power Off (1~ 254 m in.; 0= Disable) : By default , it is set to autom atically shut
down after 10 m inut es. I f this feature is not desired, set it to 0.
Not e: 1. The Power-Saving set t ing will st ill t ake effect once a connection has been
established successfully, via Bluetooth
®
HI D or SPP.
Before establishing a WPAN connection successfully…
1) The scanner will stay active for a specified period of time (2 minutes by default) for the
following scenarios. I t s CPU is running at full speed, and the LED is flashing blue (On/ Off ratio
0.5 s: 0.5 s).

2) I f it fails to connect wit hin 2 m inutes, the scanner will become inact ive t o save power for the
rem aining period of tim e (t he specified value m inus 2 m inutes). I t s CPU is running at low
speed, and t he LED is flashing red (On/ Off rat io 0.3 s: 2.5 s) .
Press t he [ Trigger] key to wake up the scanner when it becom es inact ive, and the scanner will
st ay active again.
3) I f it fails to connect again and again, and finally st ays inact ive unt il the specified time interval
for Auto Power Off has elapsed, the scanner will aut om atically t urn off in order to conserve
bat t ery power.
Hold down t he [ Power/ Delete] key for 2 seconds to t urn it on.
Not e: For scenarios (a) and (b) in st ep 1, on your com puter you m ay need t o search for
the scanner again.
