Step 4 Use the clear ips arp or clear ipv6 neighbor command to clear the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP)
or neighbor cache to verify that the activity you are viewing is the most current.

Step 5 Use the show ips arp or the show ips ipv6 neighbors command to verify the hardware address for the
remote device.
