If the the transport lock switch is locked, unlock the transport lock switch.
ADF Open
If you open the ADF during a scan, the following is displayed on the operator panel.
● For the LCD
An error code, error details, and a solution for the problem are displayed on the LCD.

An alphabetical character and a number for the error code are displayed alternately on the Function Number
Display.

● If you open the ADF while the scanner is in standby, the following is displayed on the operator panel.
- For fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270
Only an error message appears on the LCD without an error code
- For fi-8150/fi-8250
"c" which is displayed on the Function Number Display and the LED indicator flashes alternately.
● Note that operations on the operator panel are disabled while the ADF is open.
Remove the document from the ADF, and close the ADF.
