Notes for Distributing Assets with the Scanner Central Admin Server
This section describes notes for distributing assets such as the scanner settings and firmware to scanners that are
operated with PaperStream NX Manager by using the Scanner Central Admin Server.
For details about how to distribute assets to other scanners by using the Scanner Central Admin Server, refer to the
Scanner Central Admin User's Guide.
● Depending on the network environment, the communication between the Scanner Central Admin Server and
the scanner may fail due to the network load.
In this case, use Scanner Central Admin Console to reduce the number of scanners for which the assets are
distributed, and the maximum number of scanners which can be connected together at the same time.
For details, refer to the Scanner Central Admin User's Guide.
● Assets such as the scanner settings and firmware will be distributed and applied to scanners in the following
cases:
- When a scanner is turned on
- When an operation to log out from PaperStream NX Manager is performed
To prevent assets from being distributed or applied during working hours, secure sufficient time between the
time the scanner is turned on and the time operations begin.
In addition, Scanner Central Admin Console allows you to specify a time zone in which assets are to be
distributed.
