Setting Items
Network settings can be changed in the fi Series Network Settings window.
This section shows a list of setting items that you can configure.
ATTENTION
To change the network settings, the administrator password is required. The default password is "password".
Change the administrator password to prevent the settings from being changed by other users.
Also, change the administrator password regularly.
The administrator password can be changed in [Admin Password] under [Maintenance].
● Scanner Information
Setting Item Description
Scanner Information (page 405) Displays the scanner information such as standard information,
scanner name, and network information.
● Network
Setting Item Description
Scanner Name (page 406) Set a scanner name.
Scanner Code (page 407) Specify whether or not to issue a scanner code.
If the "PaperStream NX Manager" setting is enabled, a scanner
code can be used when scanning with a user application on a
computer/mobile device/thin client.
Wired LAN (page 408) Set an IPv4 address or IPv6 address for the scanner.
ATTENTION
An IPv6 address is not supported when the scanner is operated
with PaperStream NX Manager.
● Security
Setting Item Description
Network Encryption (page 410) Specify whether to encrypt network communications.
● Linking with Server
Setting Item Description
Proxy Server (page 411) Set this item to operate the scanner with PaperStream NX
Manager using a proxy server.
