● Is the DNS server information configured correctly?
Solution
Check the following setting items for the DNS server settings for the scanner.
● Whether the DNS server settings are enabled.
● Whether the primary DNS and secondary DNS settings are correct.
You can check the DNS server settings as follows.
● For fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270
The DNS server settings for the scanner can be checked using one of the following methods.
- The DNS server settings for the scanner can be checked in [1:Scanner Information] on the [Settings
Menu] screen of the operator panel.

Solution
Check whether the DNS server functions normally.
Start up the command prompt on your computer, specify the IP address for the DNS server by using the
PING command, and then check whether the DNS server functions.
You can check the IP address for the DNS server as follows.
● For fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270
The IP address for the DNS server can be checked using one of the following methods.
- The IP address for the DNS server can be checked in [1:Scanner Information] on the [Settings Menu]
