asystole,assesstheQRSamplitude:
●VieweachECGleadtoassesstheamplitudeofthe
QRScomplexes.ToensurecorrectHRreadings,
a0.5mVQRSamplitudeisrecommendedfora
normalECGsignal.IftheQRSamplitudedrops
below0.5mVoranabnormalQRSwidthoccurs
(morethan120ms),QRSdetectionmaybe
reduced,leadingtofalseasystolealarms.

inconjunctionwithotherclinicalndings.Pleasetakespecial
noteofthefollowingECGwaveformconditions:
●Noisywaveforms.NoisyportionsofECGwaveformsare
typicallyexcludedfromanalysis.Theexclusionsare
necessarytoreducetheoccurrenceofinaccuratebeat
interpretationsand/orrhythmalarms.Iftheexcludednoisy
portionsoftheECGwaveformcontaintruearrhythmia
events,thoseeventsmayremainundetectedbythe
system.
●Beatamplitudeandduration.Accuratedetectionand
interpretationofbeatsbecomesincreasinglydifcultas
theamplitudeand/ordurationofthosebeatsapproach
