YoucanusetheCARESCAPEONEforuninterruptedmonitoringwhentransferring
apatientfromonelocationtoanother.WhentheCARESCAPEONEisusedasan
acquisitionmodulewithahostmonitor,youcandisconnectitfromthehostmonitor,
retainthepatientdataintheCARESCAPEONE,andcontinuetomonitorasyoumove
thepatient.
Aftertransport,youcanreturntheCARESCAPEONEtothehostmonitor,reconnectit
asanacquisitionmodule,andresumemonitoringthepatientonthehostmonitor.
Dualmonitoringandtransport
DuringnormalmonitoringwhentheCARESCAPEONEisconnectedtothehostmonitor
asanacquisitiondevice,theCARESCAPEONEdisplayisnotactive.Ascreensaver
isdisplayed,andallparameterdataandalarmsignalsarepresentedonthehost
monitorbecausetheCARESCAPEONEisactingasanacquisitiondevice.Youcan
activatetheCARESCAPEONEdisplayscreenbytouchingit.WhentheCARESCAPE
ONEdisplayisactivated,themessageAcquisitionmode-viewonlyisdisplayed
onit,indicatingthatonlyviewingisallowed.Parameterdatawillbeshownonthe
CARESCAPEONEfortwominutesbeforeitreturnstothescreensaver.
NOTE
AlthoughparameterdataisdisplayedontheCARESCAPEONE
whenyoutouchthescreen,alarmmessagesarenotshownin
thealarmareaandparameterwindownumericsdonotash
ontheCARESCAPEONEdisplayduringanalarmcondition
becausetheCARESCAPEONEisactingasanacquisition
deviceforthehostmonitor.
Whenyoupreparethehostmonitortoenterstandbymodeinpreparationfor
transport,theCARESCAPEONEdisplaywillilluminatesimultaneouslywiththehost
display(dualmonitoring)soyoucanensurethatwaveformsandparameterdataare
visualizedbeforedisconnectingtheCARESCAPEONEfortransport.IftheCARESCAPE
ONEisnotdisconnectedfromthehostmonitorwithintwominutes,theCARESCAPE
ONEdisplaywillreturntothescreensaverandallmonitoringwillreturntothehost
monitor.UponreturnfromtransportwhentheCARESCAPEONEisreconnectedto
thehostmonitor,theCARESCAPEONEdisplayremainsilluminatedfortwominutes
soyoucanensurethehostmonitorisdisplayingwaveformsandparameterdata.
Duringthesetwominutedualmonitoringperiods,anyalarmsaregeneratedonthe
hostmonitoronly.
