TurningontheCARESCAPEONE
CARESCAPEONEcanoperateviabatterypowerusingitsownbattery,orviaDCpower
whenconnectedtoapowereddockingstation.Refertothedevicelabelingforvoltage
andcurrentrequirements.
1.Ensureallcablesareproperlyconnected.
2.Presstheon/standbybuttononthehandlesideoftheCARESCAPEONE.The
welcomescreenwillappear.
TurningofftheCARESCAPEONE
1.Ensurethatthepatienthasbeendischarged/thecasehasbeenended.
2.Presstheon/standbybuttonforapproximately1second.
ThePoweringDownwindowappearstoconrmyouwanttoshutdownthe
CARESCAPEONE.
3.Presstheon/standbybuttonagainwithin10secondstoshutdownthe
CARESCAPEONE.
Ifyoudonotpresstheon/standbybuttonagainwithin10seconds,theCARESCAPE
ONEremainsonandthePoweringDownwindowisremovedfromthedisplay.

Acaseautomaticallystarts/apatientisadmittedwhenthemonitordetectsanyof
thefollowingvitalsigns:ECG,impedancerespiration,Art,Fem,UAC,NIBP,SpO
2
,or
CO

.Eachvitalsignhasactivationcriteriathatmustbemetbeforethevitalsignis
consideredactive.Refertotheindividualparameterchaptersformoreinformation.
Acasemanuallystarts/apatientisadmittedwhenanypatientdataisentered.
Alwaysobservethemonitorandthepatientcarefullyduringstartupperiodsand
whenconnectingCARESCAPEParameters.
