Alarmlocks
Alarmlockspreventparameteralarmlimitsfrombeingturnedoff.Whenanalarmis
locked,alockiconappearsnexttotheAlarmOn/AlarmOffsetting.Parameteralarm
locksaresetintheLockingSettingsandtheyarepasswordprotected.

Settingparameteralarmlimits
ParameteralarmlimitsmaybesetintheAlarmsSetupmenu,orintheparameter
menus’ownAlarmstab.Alarmlimitsshouldnotbesetbeyondreasonable
physiologicalboundariesinordertomaintainpatientsafety.Settingoutsideof
reasonableboundarieswouldcausethealarmstobeineffective.
1.SelectAlarmsSetupfromthemainmenu.
2.SelecttheAlarmLimitstab.
3.Selectaparameterlabel.
Ifyouareunabletondaspecicparameter,selecttherightarrowtodisplay
additionallabels.Notethateachalarmgrouphasonecommonalarmadjustment
window.Ifallalarmsofanalarmgroup(likeNIBPsys/dia/mean)areturnedoff,
thealarmlimitsarereplacedbythealarmoffindicator:

whereyoucanselectalarmsonoroff,andsettheirlimits.
Settingalarmlimitsautomatically
Whenselected,theAutoLimitsfeatureautomaticallysetsnewhighlimitandlowlimit
values,baseduponthecurrentphysiologicalvalue.TheAutoLimitsshouldonlybe
usedforpatientswhosecurrentlymeasuredvaluesareconsideredsafe.
