3.SelectanoptionfromthePrimaryArterialSourcelist.
Theselectionappliestoallinvasivepressurechannelswithanarterialpressure
label(Art,Fem,UAC).
TheAUTOoptiondefaultstotherstzeroedarterialsitethathashadavalidpulse
rateforatleast10seconds.Forexample,ifboththeArt1channelandtheFem2
channelarezeroedandhavevalidpulseratesforatleast10seconds,theAUTO
optionwillbeAUTOArt1becausethatisthelowestvalidchannelnumber.
Iftheselectedprimaryarterialsource’ssitelabelischangedtoanotherarterialsite
label,forexample,ArttoFem,theprimaryarterialsourcelabelwillbeupdatedto
thenewlabel.Iftheprimaryarterialsource’ssitelabelischangedtoanon-arterial
sitelabel,suchasCVP,theprimaryarterialsourceselectionwillchangetoAUTO.

SmartBPisanalgorithmthattemporarilydeactivatesthearterialandfemoralalarms
whenitdetectsthezeroingofatransducer,fastushingofthesystem,orblood
draws.ThemessageArtifactdisplaysduringthealarmdeactivation.Whenpulsatile
pressurereturnsand15-20beatsaredetected,numericsaredisplayedandalarms
arereactivated.

signal,andusemaycontributetopatientinjuryorsub-optimal
pumpingresults.
