automaticself-tests.Ifamalfunctionisdetected,theCARESCAPEONEdisplaysa
messageoranalarm,dependingontheseverityofthemalfunction.
Enteringpatientdata
1.Selectthepatientinformationareaonthescreen,orselectPt.Data&Trends>
Admit/DischargeorStart/ResetCase.
2.SelectthePatienttab.
3.Editorenterpatientdata:
a.SelectMRN:SecondID:,selecttheeldtobeedited,andenterthedata.
EnteringtheSecondID:inadditiontotheMedicalRecordNumberallowsa
exibleuseoflocalpatientidenticationmethods.
b.SelectName:,selecttheeldtobeedited,andenterthedata.
c.SelectDateofBirth:Age:toenteroreditthepatient’sdateofbirthorage.
IfDay,Month,andYearareentered,Ageisautomaticallycalculated.
d.SelecttheHeight:Weight:BSA:Gender:Ethnicity:eld,thenselectvaluesfor
differenttypesofdata.
Ifheightandweightareentered,thepatient’sBSA(bodysurfacearea)is
automaticallycalculated.
Resettingacase/dischargingapatient
Resettingacase/dischargingapatientdeletesallpatientinformationandreturns
themonitortothedenedstartupprole.ThisalsohappenswhentheCARESCAPE
ONEisinDEMOMODE.
Allsettings,includingalarmlimits,returntotheirdefaultvalues.Allpatientdatais
removedfromthemonitor.
TheCARESCAPEONEmaybeconguredincareunitsettingswithanautomatic
casereset/patientdischargetimer.Careunitsettingsarepasswordprotected.If
anautomaticcasereset/patientdischargeisconguredandtherearenoactive
parametersandnouseofthetouchscreen,monitoringwillendautomaticallyafter
theconguredtimehaselapsed.

2.SelectthepatientinformationareaonthescreenorselectPt.Data&Trends>
Admit/DischargeorStart/ResetCase.
3.SelecttheDischarge/ResetCasetab>Conrm.
