Certaintechnicalalarmscanbedeactivatedwiththepauseaudiokey.TheAlarm
DeactivationsettingisconguredintheCareUnitSettingsanditispassword
protected.

Technicalalarmsforwhichthedeactivationwiththepauseaudiokeycanbeallowed
are:
●ECGLeadsOff
●ArterialDisconnect(Art,Fem,UAC)
●SpO2ProbeOff
Apneaalarms’deactivationwiththepauseaudiokey
ApneaalarmscanbedeactivatedwiththepauseaudiokeyiftheAllowalarm
deactivationwiththeAudioPausekeyfor:settingApnea(CO2/Imped.)isenabledin
theCareUnitSettings.Thissettingispasswordprotected.

Breakthroughalarms
Thefollowingalarmswillbreakthroughwhenescalatedtooractivatedathighpriority
alarmconditionregardlessofthe2to5minuteaudiblealarmpause:Asystole,VFib/
VTach,VTach(inallsoftwarepackages),andBrady(intheNICUsoftwarepackage
only).
NOTE
IfAlarmsSetup>Audible&Visual>AudioPause>Pause
AllAudiofor5minisselectedbeforeanalarmistriggered,
noalarmsbreakthroughthealarmpause.Thepauseaudio
behaviorisconguredinCareUnitSettingsandthesetting
ispasswordprotected.
Latchedalarms
Whenalarmsarelatched,theaudiblealarmandvisualmessageremainafterthe
alarmconditionnolongerexists.Theaudiblealarmcanbepausedwiththepause
audiokey,andthisalsoclearsthealarmmessagefromthescreen.Alarmscanbe
conguredtolatchforhighpriorityalarmsonly,allalarmpriorities,ornone.Only
physiologicalalarmscanbelatched.TheLatchingAlarmssettingisconguredinthe
CareUnitSettingsanditispasswordprotected.
