CRANKCASE SEPARATION
Refer to Service Information (page 12-3) for removal
of
necessary parts before separating the crankcase.
Remove the cam chain

from the timing sprocket.
Loosen
and
remove
the
crankcase bolts

Place
the
left
crankcase
up
.
Carefully separate the left crankcase [1) from the right
crankcase [2] while tapping them at several locations
with a soft hammer.
Remove the dowel pins [1].
Be
careful
not

the
sealant from the left

right crankcase
