GENERAL
ACAUTION
Frequent inhalation
of
brake shoe dust, regardless
of
material composition could be
hazardous
to
your
health.
• Avoid breathing
dust
particles .
•
Never
use an air hose or brush to
dean
brake assemblies. Use an OSHA-approved
vacuum
cleaner.
Riding on damaged rims impairs safe operation
of
the motorcycle.
Raise the rear wheel
off
Ihe
ground
by
supporting the frame securely
when
servicing. A
box
or
work stand
is
required to support
the motorcycle.
A contaminated brake
drum
or
shoe
reduces stopping power. Discard contaminated
shoes
and clean a contaminated drum with
a high quality brake degreasing agent.
Use
only genuine Honda replacement bolts and nuts for all suspension linkage and swingarrn pivot mounting points; ordinary
bons lack adequate strength for these application. Also take note of the installation direction
of
these bolts since they must
be
installed correctly.
