Powering Off and Powering On the Server
This section provides information and procedures for powering off and powering on the server.
For more information, see the operating system documentation.
Server Power Button
Figure 40 shows the server Power button.

Power States
The server has three power states:
Standby power Plug the power cord into the appropriate receptacle on the rear of the chassis;
the front panel Power button is not turned on.
Full power Full power occurs when you plug the power cord into the appropriate
receptacle, and either activate the power using the iLO 2 MP PC command,
or press the Power button.
Off Unplug the power cords.
Table 32 lists the server power states.
