Millipore System Documentation Set
206 Operating and Maintenance Manual Publication XITXSP121 P Rev.A
• Make sure that the operating system and test software is properly loaded onto the
Integritest Exacta hard drive.
• Verify that all clamp and fitting connections are tight.
Possible Failure Modes
Gross Leaks
• Make sure that there are no gas or liquid leaks in the outlet tubing, filter housing or
general process plumbing.
Note: A Gross Leak error status can be falsely diagnosed by the system if the user
supplies improper test criteria. See the section titled Exacta Gross Leak Criteria on page 207
for more details.
Water Damage
• Damaged pressure transducer—diagnose using the calibration or hardware
diagnostics corroded valves, system leaks—diagnose using the Internal Leak Testing
section (see page 195) or the Hardware Diagnostics section(see page 212).
Integritest Exacta unit does not turn on.
• Make sure the power cord is plugged into the rear of the Integritest Exacta instrument
and into a functional power outlet.
• If the fuse is blown there may be a serious internal problem. Call Millipore Technical
Service (see page 255) for help.
Program for the Integritest Exacta does not load.
• System software corrupted or the hard drive is damaged. Call Millipore Technical
Service (see page 255) for help.
Valves not operating properly.
• Solenoid valves are clogged/dirty. Diagnose using the Internal Leak Testing section
(see page 195) or the Hardware Diagnostics section(see page 212). Make sure the
gas source supplies CLEAN dry air or nitrogen to the Integritest Exacta instrument.
If, the test gas is not clean, dirt particles can lodge in the solenoid valves causing them
to not fully open or close. Always use an inlet gas filter on your gas supply line prior to
the Integritest Exacta gas inlet.
Printer will not print test results.
• If the printer is out of paper a system error will result. Install a new roll of paper (see
page 145).
• If the printer runs but it is not printing or printing incompletely prime the inkjet
cartridge (see page 146). If the problem persists, replace the inkjet cartridge. (see
page 146)
