MDM9000 Satellite Modem
2. Layer 3 Forwarding Mode
As Layer 3 IP router, the MDM9000 can transport IPv4 packets based on static routing.In this mode,
there is less overhead (compared with L2 Ethernet bridging).
However because of the static routing, it is required to have a good IP plan made upfront (a change
of IP plan implies reconfiguring the static routes on the involved ).
