Checks Before Opening the Instrument
You can isolate many problems by observing indicators on the instrument before it is necessary to open
the instrument.
NOTE It takes several seconds for the AC Power LED to switch on / off after the mains power cord has been
connected / disconnected.
Checks with the Instrument switched Off
• AC connected:
– AC Power LED is on (green).
• No AC connected:
– All LEDs are off.
Checks with the Instrument Switched On, AC connected
When the monitor is first switched on, all the front-panel LEDs and keys light up momentarily. The
location of the front-panel LEDs is shown in the following photograph:
