A hardware configuration to enable the PtP functionality is not necessary.
1. Turn off the power supply.
2. Mount the extension module.
3. Establish a cable connection to the communication partner.
4. Switch on the power supply.

After a short boot time the interface X1 PtP is ready for PtP communication.
1. As Ethernet PG/OP channel place at slot 4 the Siemens CP 343-1 (6GK7
343-1EX30 0XE0 V3.0).
2. Open the "Property" dialog by clicking on the CP 343-1EX30 and enter for the CP at
"Properties" at "Ethernet address" the IP address data, which you have assigned
before. You get valid IP address parameters from your system administrator.
