Remove the centering piece from the push
button unit.

Remove the base cover.
CAUTION
Clean cover from metal residues before
opening.
Metal residues can cause shortage on the
boards which can result in hazardous failures.

Disconnect the battery cable by pressing
down the upper lip of the R2.G connector to
release the lock while pulling the connector
upwards.

Disconnect all remaining connectors to the
serial measurement unit and push button
units.

Shown in the figure Serial measurement
unit layout on page 245.
Unscrew the hexagon nuts on the serial
measurement unit a little and slide the SMB
unit out. Do not remove the nuts!

Lift and pull the serial measurement unit
backwards, over the lip (A), and lift it away.
