7.3 Test Method

Current source and measurement test (4 A range)
1. Connect the 6240B, a DMM and a standard resistor (100m) as shown in Figure
8-2.
2. Set the DMM to DCV, 1000 mV range and integration time of 10 ms.
Also, set the measurement mode to be executed by a external trigger.
3. Select current source current measurement, and set the pulse mode, Auto trigger,
and integration time of 10 ms.
4. Set the pulse width (Tw) to 20 ms, period time (Tp) to 310 ms and measurement
delay (Td) to 9 ms.
5. Set Comple/Sync of EXT-SIGNAL to MeasFront.
6. Set the pulse value to 4 A and base value to 0 A, and set the output status to
Operate.
7. Verify that the difference between the source value and the DMM measured value
or standard resistance value is within the accuracy described in Chapter 9.,
"SPECIFICATIONS."
NOTE: If the result of this test does not fall within the accuracy specifications, cali-
brate the 6240B as outlined in Chapter 8., "CALIBRATION" or contact an
ADC CORPORATION sales representative for the calibration or servicing.
