1.4.3 Changing Power Voltage, and Checking or Replacing Power Fuse
The 6240B power voltage can be changed manually.
This section describes the procedure for changing the power voltage, and checking and replacing the
power fuse.
NOTE:
1. If the power fuse has opened, a problem has occurred in this instrument. Contact an ADC CORPORATION
sales representative.
2. Always use the same fuse type and rating to prevent fire.
Changing the power voltage
1. Turn OFF the POWER switch on the front panel.
2. Remove the power cable from the AC power outlet.
3. Remove the cover of the fuse holder with a flathead screwdriver.
4. Rotate the voltage selector to set the voltage with your fingers.
The selectable voltage values: 100 VAC, 120 VAC, 220 VAC and 240 VAC are
printed on the voltage selector.
5. Rotate the voltage selector until the voltage to be used faces to the front.
Checking or replacing the power fuse
6. Pull out the power fuse with the white arrow printed on.
Check if the removed fuse has been blown.
Return it or replace it with a fuse that matches the power voltage to be used.
7. Close the cover.
