Press the PRINT [P] key to obtain a printed summary of the wipes for the selected area.
After the report is printed, you will be asked if you want to delete all the wipe data for that
area. Press Y (YES) to delete the data; press N (NO) to retain the data.
Note: Data should be deleted periodically to free up memory.
Move the prompt in
Figure 13-6 to the line showing the proper location and press the F1
[SELCT] key. A screen similar to
Figure 13-8 will appear.

Place the Wipe in the detector and press the F4 [START] key. The CAPTUS
®
600 will begin
counting on the 400 keV scale. The CAPTUS
®
600 will count for the time selected in Count
Time Setup. The live spectrum will be shown on the display.
If the CAPTUS
®
600 detects a significant number of counts in the highest PHA channel, it will
automatically assume there may be activity at an energy which is not measurable on this
range and begin counting on the 1600 keV range.
