flowcontrol
The flowcontrol Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command configures flow control on a
given interface. To disable flow control, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
flowcontrol {auto | on | off}
no flowcontrol
Parameters
•
auto — Indicates auto-negotiation
• on — Enables flow control.
• off — Disables flow control.
Default Configuration
Flow control is off.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
User Guidelines
Negotiation should be enabled for flow control auto.
Example
In the following example, flow control is enabled on port 5.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 5
Console(config-if)# flowcontrol on
