12.1.17.25 EBGP Multihop
To accept and attempt BGP connections to external peers on indirectly connected net-
works, use the following command.
Multihop is not established if the only route to the multihop peer is a default route.
neighbor {A.B.C.D | X:X::X:X |
WORD} ebgp-multihop [<1-255>]
Disables capability negotiation
A.B.C.D: BGP neighbor IP address
X:X::X:X: BGP neighbor IPv6 address
WORD: BGP peer group
1-255: maximum hop count (default: 255)
no neighbor {A.B.C.D | X:X::X:X |
WORD} ebgp-multihop [<1-255>]
12.1.17.26 Enforce Multihop Configuration
To turn on the enforcement of eBGP neighbors perform multihop, use the following com-
mand.
neighbor {A.B.C.D | X:X::X:X |
WORD} enforce-multihop
Turns on the enforcement of eBGP neighbors perform
nultihop.
A.B.C.D: BGP neighbor IP address
X:X::X:X: BGP neighbor IPv6 address
WORD: BGP peer group

12.1.17.27 Filter-list Configuration
This command specifies an access list filter on updates based on the BGP autonomous
system paths. Each filter is an access list based on regular expressions.
To set up a BGP filter, use the following command.
neighbor {A.B.C.D | X:X::X:X |
WORD} filter-list WORD {in | out}
Sets up a BGP filter.
A.B.C.D: BGP neighbor IP address
X:X::X:X: BGP neighbor IPv6 address
WORD: BGP peer group
in: filter incoming advertised routes.
out: filter outgoing advertised routes.
