Assigns a primary IP address to an interface.

ip address A.B.C.D/M secondary

Assigns a secondary IP address to an interface.

ip address dhcp

Assigns an IP address from a DHCP server.

no ip address

Clears an IP address assigned to an interface.

no ip address A.B.C.D/M

no ip address A.B.C.D/M sec-

ondary

Clears a secondary IP address assigned to an

interface.

no ip address dhcp

Stops assigning an IP address from a DHCP

server.

The ip address dhcp command is for configuring an interface as a DHCP client. For the

detail of configuring a DHCP client, see Section 9.6.9.

To display an assigned IP address, use the following command.
