3-11 Setting the dedicated microtome blades (cassette) replacement in place
Install a dedicated-replacement microtome blade cassette in the Main Unit.
The dedicated replacement microtome blade cassette is held with a magnet to the automatic blade
change unit. Open the left door (L) of the Main Unit and set the dedicated microtome blade cassette in
place so that the two pins on the blade cassette frame on the automatic blade change unit will fit into the
two holes in the cassette.

A knife is set on the Sectioning Unit . When replacing the microtome blade
cassette, use care to avoid cuts on the hands or fingers.

Use dedicated-replacement microtome blades only. Failure to comply may
lead to system breakdown or reduced performance. Never attempt to
disassemble the replacement microtome blade cassette.
