To disconnect Tube 1 from the waste fluid tank, hold the joint hose by hand and press the unlock
button on the joint to disconnect the tube.
3-9 Setting the slide collection box in place
This System prepares and collects tissue sections (slides) into the slide collection box in the dry
chamber. When used with the 100-slide dry chamber option unit, the System can dry and store up to 100
slides. Alternatively, when used with the 400-slide dry chamber option unit, the System can dry and store
up to 400 slides (in 4 slide collection boxes).
Follow the steps below to set the supplied slide collection box in place:
① Insert the supplied slide trays into the slide collection box, each of which can accommodate
20 slide trays. As shown below, each slide collection box has storage spaces Nos. 1 to 100 to
be filled with slides.

Load each slide collection box fully with all 20 slide trays. Starting operation with any
box not fully loaded with trays may lead to failure of some slides to fit into storage
spaces properly, resulting in broken slides or system breakdown.
