LOAF GATE: The Loaf Gate raises to the “up” position
where the Lift Tray raises to hold the product and opens after
the product is gripped and ready to feed into the Infeed
Conveyor. (Illustration 10) The Loaf Gate is operated by 3
position Loaf Gate Air Cylinder. The Loaf Gate Air Cylinder is
controlled by the YV4 and YV5 Directional Valves.
(Illustration 12)
When the YV4-12 and YV5-12 directional valves are
energized, the Loaf Gate raises to the “up” position. The
SQ20 and SQ21reed switches signal the Computer through
the XS5 Infeed Housing Manifold that the Loaf Gate is “Up.”
When the YV4-12 and YV5-12 directional valves are
energized, the Loaf Gate closes. The SQ21 and SQ22 reed
switches signal the Computer through the XS5 Infeed
Housing that the Loaf Gate is “Closed.”
When the YV4-14 and YV5-14 are energized, the Gate
“opens” to drop the End Butts on the Debris Conveyor. The
SQ21 and SQ23 reed switches signal the computer through
the XS5 Infeed Housing that the Gate is “open.”
The YV4 directional valve is controlled by the XS5 Loaf
Sweep Housing Manifold. XS-5 receives operational
instructions from the Computer via the Profibus Network.
LOAF LENGTH SENSORS: The Loaf Length Sensors are
mounted below the Grippers. (Illustration 11) As the Product
Lift raises to the “up” position, the Loaf Length Sensor
calculates the length of each loaf using reflected laser light.
The Laser Reflection signal isa0to10VDCsignal, with 0
VDC being “no” product present. The Loaf Length
information is sent to the CPU through the XS-5 Infeed
Housing Manifold.
