SHEAR BAR
The Shear Bar is an important part of the Slicer in that it
creates a shear edge for the Knife. To receive the optimum
life and performance from them, use the following
procedures:
1. HANDLE WITH CARE
The Shear Bar is made from high performance plastic.
Although strong, the shear edge can easily be damaged.
When removed for cleanup, store in a safe place. Do not
drop the Shear Bar or place other Assemblies on top of it
during cleanup.
2. USE PROPER SIZE
There are a number of different size and shape Shear
Bars. Your product will determine the right one. It may be
necessary to have a number of Shear Bars on hand.
3. RESET THE KNIFE CLEARANCE
Reset the Knife Clearance anytime you install a Shear Bar
or Knife. Refer to “Reset the Knife to Shear Edge
Clearance” procedure on the previous page for more
information.
