GRIPPER DRIVES: Each Gripper is independently
driven by a Servo Motor. (Illustration 13) The travel
distance of each Gripper is monitored through
“Resolver” feedback from each Servo Motor to the
Servo Drives. The travel distance of each Gripper
controls the “thickness” of each slice, which
determines the weight of each stack or draft.
The #1 Gripper is driven by the M110 Servo Motor.
The M14 Servo Motor is controlled by the U10
Servo Drive.
The #2 Gripper is driven by the M12 Servo Motor.
The M15 Servo Motor is controlled by the U11
Servo Drive.
The #3 Gripper is driven by the M14 Servo Motor.
The M16 Servo Motor is controlled by the U15
Servo Drive.
LOWER INFEED CONVEYORS: When the Loaf
Gate opens, the Grippers and Infeed Belts travel
forward, to feed the product through the Shear Bar
and into the Knife. (Illustration 14)
