VTL and PTT Cabling
Entry System
Connect the FC cables for VTL or PTT as shown in Figure 60.

The usage of the FC ports has been pre-configured in the factory as follows:
● The lower port is configured for PPT, the upper port is configured for VTL.
● The port role can be changed on page Configuration > PTT > FC Initiators & Targets
of the Remote Management Console.
Scale System
Scale systems are delivered with three dual ports 8 Gb/s FC controllers in PCI slot 1, slot 2
and slot 5. The upper ports of the controllers in the PCI slots 1 and 2 are used to connect
the storage module. Each of the other four ports can be used either for VTL or PTT.
Connect the FC cables for PTT and VTL as shown in Figure 61.
