Step 2: Protocol
1. Select the type of host the ETERNUS CS800 will present NAS shares to (see
Figure 87):
● Windows (CIFS) - All hosts that will interact with the ETERNUS CS800 run
Windows.
● UNIX/Linux (NFS) - All hosts that will interact with the ETERNUS CS800 run UNIX
or Linux.
● Both Windows & UNIX/Linux - Both types of hosts (Windows and UNIX/Linux) will
interact with the ETERNUS CS800.
2. Click Next to continue.
