4 Select one of the buttons on the computer to be applied to the button on the scanner and start a scan
● For fi-8190/fi-8290/fi-8170/fi-8270
a Select a number (configured to start up the desired image scanning application) in the [Function
Selection] screen on the scanner.
The number displayed in the [Function Selection] screen corresponds to the button configured on
the computer as follows.

HINT
[SOP] is also available in the [Function Selection] screen.
The Software Operation Panel has been specified for [SOP] to start up by factory default and
cannot be changed.
The procedure below shows an example of selecting a number (that corresponds to [Send to 02]
configured on the computer) for the [Scan/Enter] button on the scanner.
i Display the [Function Selection] screen on the LCD.
Press the [ ] button/[ ] button while the [Ready] screen is displayed on the LCD.
ii Press the [
] button/[ ] button to select [No.02], and then press the [Stop/Clear]
button.
