Installation Notes on K-RX Receiver
Do not mount 2 RF receivers within range of each other when using the same transmitter buttons. Assign
different transmitter buttons for each RF receiver. If receivers exceed the number of buttons on the
transmitter, do not mount receivers within RF ranges. Minimum distance should be 300 feet. Do not run
receiver cable in conduit with AC power or signal wiring.
Keep receiver wiring at a minimum of 12" (30cm) from AC wiring.
Ensure the control board reader jumper J3 is set for Keyscan 36-bit format.
Cable Requirements
Use 3 pairs shielded 18 AWG cable to a maximum distance of 500 feet (152.4 meters).
Power & Grounding
The K-RX may be powered directly from the control board - 12 VDC, 80 mA. Ensure shield continuity from the
receiver to the access control panel. Ensure shield is connected to the ground lug in the metal enclosure which
in turn is grounded to a single cold water pipe ground point.
