Jumper Settings
The following sub-sections outline jumper settings on door (CA) and elevator (EC) control boards. Keyscan
factory defaults all control board jumper settings before they are shipped. Depending on the installation
however, you may have to reset various jumpers and reconfigure the control board for specific operating
requirements. Control boards have the following jumpers:
• System Configuration J16 – sets communication baud rate, selects communication terminals and
enables/disables system functions
• System Mode J17 – selects the Keyscan software version
• Reader Configuration J3 – selects the reader format
• Address/External (Supervision) J18 – sets the control board’s supervision level for inputs
• Factory Defaults (Clear Memory) J1 – resets the control board to factory defaults (requires J16-H enabled)

Communication Baud Rate Selection
The control board supports multiple communication baud rates. Ensure the control board is set on the desired
and correct rate. Also, ensure that all Keyscan software settings match the control board’s baud rate. If
configuring communication via a NETCOM device, ensure it is programmed with the correct baud rate.
Communication Terminal Block Activation
J16 – pins F & G regulate terminal block communication depending on whether the control board is connected
via the RS-232 block (serial), the CPB/CB Module (H1) terminal (CB-485 or CPB-10-2) or the M1 terminal
(NETCOMP). Jumper settings for terminal block activation are listed in the following table and on individual
communication diagrams.
