Injection Nozzle Holder Insert
Replacement

The injection nozzle holder insert is machined to
provide a press-fit in the cylinder head.
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. To remove the injection nozzle holder insert,
tap the ID with a 24 mm -3 tap to a depth of
approximately 1-1/2 inches (38 mm).
2. Install the nozzle sleeve (insert) puller
J 42678 to the slide hammer J 2619-01, or
equivalent, as shown in Figure 269.
3. Thread the puller into the end of the nozzle
holder insert and use the slide hammer to
remove the insert.
