2. Install upper and lower oil seals on crankshaft. Position oil seal lips as shown.
3. Carefully lower crankshaft into place.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the lower oil seal notch is positioned into the groove in the
crankcase.

4. Assemble the connecting rods to the crankshaft. Install the connecting rod caps, aligning
the code letter scribed on the connecting rod and cap.
5. Apply oil to the connecting rod bolts. Tighten bolts in sequence and in two steps to the
specified torque.
