(5) Set flow rate by operating flow rate setting volume of blood pump.
(6) Adjust level in arterial drip chamber.
・ Check that clamp of level adjusting line is closed.
・ Open cap of the line to connect syringe.
・ Remove clamp and adjust level in arterial drip chamber to desired height by pushing
or pulling syringe plunger.
・ Close clamp of the line.
(7) After venous tube is primed with saline up to its distal end, turn off [ON/OFF] SW of
blood pump to stop it without flow rate indication.
16.6.3. Priming of dialyzer with dialysate
(1) Turnover dialyzer to direct arterial port (red) upward.
(2) Turn on [BYPASS] SW to enable bypass mode. [BYPASS] SW lamp is ON.
(3) Set coupler to dialyzer and place intermediate connector of the coupler on coupler
receiver.
(4) Turn off [BYPASS] SW to release bypass mode. [BYPASS] SW lamp is OFF.
(5) Check air removal from dialyzer.
(6) Turnover dialyzer to direct venous port (blue) upward.
16.6.4. Rinsing of blood line and dialyzer
16.6.4.1. When priming function is used
(1) Press [F･5] SW to display dialysis screen.
(2) Press [F･3] SW to display priming screen.

(3) Press [F･1] or [F･2] SW to set "SOLUTION VOL.(l)" to suitable level so that small
amount of saline can be left in vial after priming completion.
(4) Check that "ACCUMULATED VOL.(l)" is 0.00.
(5) Check that "RATIO(%)" is 0.
(6) Set flow rate by operating flow rate adjusting volume of blood pump.
(7) Turn on [ON/OFF] SW of blood pump to operate it.
(8) Remove air from dialyzer.
(9) Adjust level in venous drip chamber.
・ Check that clamp of level adjusting line is closed.
・ Open cap of the line to connect syringe.
・ Remove clamp and adjust level in the chamber to desired height by pushing or
pulling syringe plunger.
・ Close clamp of the line.
(10) When priming with saline of target volume is completed, it is notified by buzzing and
[ON/OFF] SW of blood pump is turned off automatically to stop blood pump. Press
[MUTE] SW and [RESET] SW to mute buzzing and to erase alarm message respectively.
