ALARM FUNCTIONS AND RESETTING
When any error is detected by the machine, it is alerted by lighting of condition and main
lamps with buzzing and the alarm related message is displayed in relevant screen. According
to severity of the alarm, corrective functions such as the machine stop is executed
automatically by safety system contained in the machine.
WARNING
z If any error is alerted repeatedly, stop the machine to discontinue dialysis immediately
and disconnect patient from the machine. Otherwise, the patient may suffer from serious
injury.
10.1 Description of alarms
10.1.1 Functions when error is alerted
If operation is notified of any error incidence, one or more of the following functions
(a) to (j) are executed according to alarm type.
In the case that plural functions are executed, see 10.2.2 “Table of Alarms” to know
the combined functions.
(a) Alarm message display
Alarm No. and message are displayed in alarm message screen. One message is
displayed as one line and 2 messages can be displayed simultaneously. If 3 or
more of errors are detected, scroll the screen to find other alarm No. and message
by pressing [F3] or [F4] SW.
(b) Audible alarm
Buzzing is caused together with lighting of [MUTE] SW and [RESET] SW lamps on
operation panel.
(c) Condition lamp
Red lighting
(d) Main lamp
Red flashing
(e) Fluid line stop
Fluid flow is disabled by stop of P1 and P2 pumps and heater is turned off.
(f) UF stop
UF operation is disabled by stop of viscous pump. (UF operation may be continued at
low UFR as “minimum UF” function.)
(g) Automatic bypassing
Coupler lines are bypassed to stop dialysate supply to dialyzer.
