18.2.7. Check of accuracy of blood pump flow rate
18.2.7.1. When electronic balance is used
(1) Required devices
Blood line, dialyzer, stopwatch and 2 containers (each of about 1L)
(2) Set blood line and dialyzer to the machine to prime them with water.
(3) Set blood pump flow rate to 100mL/min and turn off [ON/OFF] SW of the pump.
(4) Put water in one container and place other empty container on electronic balance.
(5) Put arterial line in the water container.
(6) Put venous line in the empty container.
(7) Press [ON/OFF] SW of blood pump to operate it at 100mL/min.
(8) At time of resetting the balance, start stopwatch operation.
(9) 3 minutes after the start, check that indication of the balance is 300g±10%.

18.2.7.2. When measuring cylinder is used
(1) Required devices
Blood line, dialyzer, stopwatch, container (about 1L) and measuring cylinder (about 1L)
(2) Set blood line and dialyzer to the machine to prime them with water.
(3) Set blood pump flow rate to 100mL/min and turn off [ON/OFF] SW of the pump.
(4) Put arterial line in water received in container.
(5) Put venous line in measuring cylinder.
(6) Press [ON/OFF] SW of blood pump to operate it at 100mL/min.
(7) Start stopwatch operation.
