Testing Ratio, Polarity (and Burden) with a Current
Clamp
To measure Isec, a current clamp can be connected to, for example, the IAC/
DC current measuring input (as shown in Figure 6).

The test itself is carried out in the same way as the test described at ”Testing
Ratio, Polarity (and Burden) with Injection to Current Input” on page 3 of this
chapter. Please refer to this section.
Note 1: If a current clamp is used to measure Isec, select the corresponding
check box on the test card, and specify the current clamp at the
Options tab Device Setup (recommended) or on the Settings page.
Note 2: Due to cross-talk between the measuring inputs V1AC and V2AC, we
suggest not to connect a current clamp to the input V2AC.
Therefore, use a current clamp with current output.
