6.7 FP2SH ROM Operation
6.7.2 ROM Operation Method
Preparation
Turn off the power supply and detach the CPU.
If using the FP2−C2, insert the expansion memory unit (FP2−EM7) into the CPU, and
install the master memory (AFP5208) or the memory (AFP5209) containing the pro-
grams.
Procedure:
1. Set the DIP switches on the back of the CPU to ROM op-
eration (SW2: on, SW4: off).
2. Return the CPU to its original position on the backplane.
When the power supply is turned on, the contents of the
ROM will be transferred to the internal RAM.
Note
Be careful when switching the DIP switches on the back of the
CPU. When the power supply is turned on, any contents stored in
the RAM up to that point will be lost.
