— Choose your scratch disk by pulling down the FILE MENU, scrolling to the
PREFERENCES submenu, and selecting SCRATCH DISKS/DEVICE CONTROL.
— Set the “Temp/Captured Movies” and “Video Preview Temps” to your video disk volume.
Also make sure that “Audio Preview Temps” are set to the audio scratch drive. All temp
drives that you select should already be optimized.
— If you want to use device control, refer to the next section; otherwise, click OK to close the
Scratch Disks/Device Control dialog.
Optional: Using Device Control
If your system is configured to use either ProVTR (serial port) or 1394/DV device control, use
the “Device” pull down within the Scratch/Disks Device Control dialog to select the type
of device control you want to use. (If this is the very time you've selected ProVTR device
control, you'll need to click the Device “Options” button to configure ProVTR.) Refer to
“Chapter 3: Configuring And Using Device Control” for information on using either
device control method offered by TARGA 3000.
— Once you have selected the type of device control you want to use, and if necessary,
configured the device control type, click OK to close the Scratch Disks/Device
Control dialog.
