1.8.2 Oils and lubricants
Note
Only use oils and lubricants approved by SENNEBOGEN. These are
listed in the
LUBRICANTS TABLE. The ambient temperature for operating
the machine must be between - 20 °C (- 4 °F) and + 40 °C (+ 104 °F).
If the temperature at the site is outside these values, discuss this with
SENNEBOGEN customer services before starting operation.
1.8.3 Diesel fuel
SENNEBOGEN factory filling for diesel fuel conforms to EN 590 with a
sulfur content of <10 mg/kg.
Note
The use of sulfur-free fuel per EN 590 or ASTM D975 S15 is strictly
specified for engines of exhaust level EU stage IIIB and US EPA level
4 interim
If this diesel fuel requirement applies to the installed diesel engine, the
sticker shown below must also be attached to the diesel tank filler strainer.
CAUTION
A sulfur content greater than 15 mg/kg causes serious damage to the
engine and the exhaust gas treatment system.
This can invalidate the emission certification of the diesel engine and
have legal consequences for the operator.
Observe the notes in the engine manufacturer operating instructions.
Note
The use of fuels with a higher sulfur content than 15 mg/kg is
permissible under certain conditions for engines of exhaust level EU
stage II or IIIA and US EPA level 2 or 3. This however requires the use
of engine oil with special properties matched to this requirement.
Engine oil filled at the SENNEBOGEN factory is not suitable for this use
and must be replaced.
