6.5.5 Stabilizing the machine
The machine is stabilized on an uneven surface by using the claw
outrigger. This increases the stability. For lifting capacities see
Section 3.5 Working loads.
CAUTION
Extend the claw outrigger only when the machine is stationary and
immediately before picking up a load. Danger of tipping!
CAUTION
Position the outriggers on a firm, even subgrade.
Do not raise machine using the outrigger. The tires must remain in
contact with the ground.
CAUTION
Never extend the outriggers completely (= to the stop). The weight will
not be distributed evenly over the individual outrigger pads this way, i.e.
the maximum stability is not guaranteed.
Eight-point contact The weight of the machine must be on the claw outrigger, while the tires
remain on the ground.
If you extended the outriggers completely (audible sound), retract them
slightly!
