8.3.1 Cooling capacity of the air conditioning
Compressor not
working

Cause Remedy
Open circuit in the solenoid
coil on the compressor
– Check the current flow to the
coupling.
V-belt loose or broken – Adjust the V-belt tension, replace
the V-belt.
The V-belt pulley does not
turn, even though the
magnetic clutch is engaged
– Check the compressor, replace if
necessary.
Compressor coupling
slipping
– Repair coupling or replace
compressor.
Control system defective – Check the control system and
replace if necessary.
Cause Remedy
Cooling ribs dirty – Clean the evaporator
Cause Remedy
Air flow insufficient because
the air filter is blocked
– Clean or replace the filter.
Relay defective – Replace the relay.
Fan flow hindered – Check the air channels for
hindrances. Rectify the fault.
Outside air/circulating air
flap set to outside air at
higher outside air
temperature
– Set to circulating air.
Air flow of the liquefier
insufficient because the
cooling ribs are dirty
– Clean the cooling ribs.
Fill level for refrigerant too
low
– Fill with refrigerant (service
engineer).
