9.3.2 Mounting the counterweight

The area below a suspended load must be kept clear.
CAUTION
Secure the bolts (2) and (3) with “Loctite 270” each time you mount the
counterweight!
Follow the instructions on the “Loctite” package!
7 Swivel the counterweight (7) to the rear slightly and lift away.
Deposit the counterweight in a safe location and secure against
tipping.
8 Remove both spacer packs (8) and retain for re-assembly in
the future. ATTENTION! Do not mix up the left and right sides.
1 Attach suitable sling devices (6) to the auxiliary crane and the
lifting eyes on the counterweight (7).
2 Place both spacer packs (8) on the support blocks in the correct
positions.
3 Lift the counterweight (7) onto the machine by means of the
auxiliary crane.
4 Attach the counterweight (7) to the machine using the rear
hexagonal screw (2).
5 Screw in the lower hexagonal screw (3).

Using a torque wrench, tighten the rear hexagonal screw 13 to a
torque of 2350 Nm. Place item 12; 11; 10 into position, tighten the
hexagonal screw 9 to a torque of 45 Nm. Using a torque wrench,
tighten the lower hexagonal screw (3) to a torque of 960 Nm.
7 Remove the sling devices (6).
8 Unscrew both lifting eyes from the counterweight (7) and stow
with the on-board accessories.
9 Re-attach the taillight connectors (4), place the taillights in the
recesses in the counterweight (7) and tighten the mounting
screws (5).
